نہ کر غرور تو اپنی اس حسین زندگی پے

تیری ہی زندگی کا اک دن ہوگا

نہ بستر ہو گا نہ سرہانہ ہوگا

قبرستان کے اک کونے میں تو پڑا ہوگا

Do not be proud of your beautiful life

It will be one day of your life

There will be neither a bed nor a headboard

It must have been lying in a corner of the cemetery

لا تفتخر بحياتك الجميلة

وسوف يكون يوما واحدا من حياتك

لن يكون هناك سرير ولا لوح رأسي

لا بد أنه كان ملقى في إحدى زوايا المقبرة

اس طرح دل کے سرد آنگن میں

تیری یادوں کے داغ جلتے ہیں

جیسے آندھی میں ٹوٹی قبروں پر

سہمے سہمے چراغ جلتے ہیں

هكذا في فناء القلب البارد

ندوب ذكرياتك تحترق

مثل القبور المكسورة في مهب الريح

المصابيح تحترق بشكل مطرد

خدا کرے کہ میری موت کی خبر اسے نہ ہو 

چپکے سے دفن ہو جاوں پتا کسی کو قبر نہ ہو

May God not let him know about my death

I will be buried secretly, knowing that no one has a grave

الله لا يعلمه بموتي

سأدفن سرا، مع العلم أنه ليس لأحد قبر
